International Yoga Day: A Guided Morning Practice

International Yoga Day, observed on June 21st, celebrates the timeless practice of yoga as a path to physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Recognized globally, the day emphasizes the importance of incorporating yoga into everyday life to promote balance, self-awareness, and inner peace.
\r\nTo mark this occasion, the Centre for Counselling & Health Services (CCHS) is organizing a special morning session titled “International Yoga Day: A Guided Morning Practice.” This in-person event invites students to begin their day with mindful movement and breathwork in the serene Quadrangle of the Central Block.
\r\nThe session will start with a 5-minute reflection on the significance of yoga, followed by 15 minutes of flexibility-focused asanas, 15 minutes of core yoga postures, and 15 minutes of pranayama (yogic breathing techniques) to promote relaxation and clarity.
\r\nThis guided session is open to all students and aims to support holistic wellness by cultivating a calm and centered start to the day. Participants are requested to bring their own yoga mats or bedsheets and wear comfortable clothing.
\r\nThrough this initiative, CCHS hopes to encourage students to embrace yoga as a gentle yet powerful tool for self-care, resilience, and mindful living.
