The Teaching Learning Enhancement Cell (TLEC) of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled "Learner Centered Approach Landscape" on Thursday, 12 June 2025, from 10.15 AM to11:30 AM. The session was conducted via Google Meet and aimed to empower faculty members with the philosophy, practices, and strategies involved in learner-centred education. \r\nThe resource person for the session was Dr. Maya M, a distinguished professor and the TLEC Coordinator from the Bangalore Central Campus. With her deep expertise and experience, Dr. Maya offered valuable insights into how learner centered approaches can transform traditional classrooms into interactive, student-driven learning environments. The session covered the conceptual foundations of learner centered pedagogy, practical frameworks for implementation, and its alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals). It also highlighted the need for personalised, collaborative, and reflective teaching methodologies. \r\nParticipants actively engaged in the session, posed relevant questions, and discussed the application of the strategies in their academic contexts. The FDP was well-received and appreciated for its relevance, clarity, and practical value. This initiative represents a significant step in establishing a community of reflective educators dedicated to improving learning outcomes through innovation and learner-centred approaches.
